Bleeding on the Page – Writing Emotion
Whether you write suspense, mystery, memoirs or romance, one of the most important tools in a Writer’s toolbox is the ability to express true emotion on the page. Emotion is the glue that binds a reader to your characters and to you, as an author.
Laura will explain the tools you’ll need to achieve and refine this skill, including pacing, visceral responses, expanding and contracting time, how to handle backstory and how to achieve deep POV. She’ll illustrate by breaking down examples from Best Selling authors’ novels.
I plan to attend. Thank you!
Good morning,
A little about me. I’m retired , widow & a friend suggested I find a writing group. I didn’t know if needed a proper language class 1st or what. That was located in Granbury. This last year, I’ve been reading & I love well written letters & books. Trying to keep my mind active. I noticed a class just started 6.26.26 , I’m hoping I can attend the next one & see if there is hope /fit for me. I believe I’ve signed up correctly for notifications for next time. I’m definitely a beginner. Thank you for your time & Happy Writing!
